Bonfiglioli Transmissions Limited is one of India's largest technology-led manufacturers of mechanical and electro-mechanical power transmission and industrial drive solutions. Established in 1998, the company manufactures precision-engineered gear motors, gearboxes and drive systems. It is part of the Italy-based Bonfiglioli Group, which operates across 80 countries.

The company manufactures low, medium and heavy-duty gear motors and gearboxes with torque capacities ranging from 13 Nm to 1,400 kNm. Its products include helical, bevel, planetary and worm gearboxes, electric motors, variable frequency drives, servo motors and precision drives for robotics and automation.

The company operates across three business segments:

• Industry & Automation Solutions: Gearboxes and drive systems for material handling, mining, pharmaceuticals, textiles, packaging and industrial automation.
• Off-Highway Mobility: Transmission systems for excavators, construction equipment, agricultural machinery and mining vehicles.
• Wind Industry: Yaw and pitch drives for wind turbines, with an estimated 67.9% domestic market share by sales value in CY2025 among domestic manufacturers.

The company operates three facilities at Thirumudivakkam, Mannur and Talegaon, which collectively produced 341,133 gear motors and gearboxes in FY2025. Its manufacturing capabilities include machining, gear cutting, heat treatment and assembly, supported by automation and digital production systems.

During the six months ended June 30, 2026, the company served 935 customers, including JCB India, GMM Pfaudler, Schwing Stetter, Suzlon Energy and Nordex India. Its distribution network comprised 13 sales offices, 44 authorised dealers operating 54 outlets and 13 third-party service facilities as of June 30, 2026.

As of June 30, 2026, the company had a total workforce of 1,032 personnel, comprising 627 on-roll employees and 405 contract labourers.
